Car Transporter for AAA Members

The American Automobile Assocation, or AAA, is a not-for-profit member service organization. Sixty-nine independently-operated motor clubs fall under its banner, each committed to providing automobile-related services for its members. (Its logo is a red “AAA” with a blue swoop.) They were formed in 1902 to be an advocate of American motorists; since then, they have actively took up causes relevant to safety standards, legislative advocacy, and other motorist causes.

Perhaps AAA's best-known offering is its emergency roadside assistance. Members can take care of lockouts, towing, flat tires, failed batteries, and many other problems through AAA membership, which generally covers the member, not their vehicle (meaning that if a member is stuck in a friend's car, they can still get help). Members pay for their service annually and have a set number of times in which they can call on AAA to help them.

Though roadside assistance forms the cornerstone of AAA's reputation, the clubs have expanded their offerings. They now offer auto insurance, in addition to renter's insurance, life insurance, home insurance, and the like. AAA clubs typically have benefits for people repairing or buying a car; many clubs maintain a network of dealerships and mechanics, which allows customers to chose from a pre-screened selection of businesses. The clubs have begun to offer various travel-arrangement and financial services as well.

As a way of “helping members pay for their membership,” AAA clubs offer discounts on many different services, from retail shopping to perscription medications.
